Post Wildfire Restoration

The Nicola Watershed in British Columbia has suffered extensive wildfire damage, affecting over 25,000 hectares of forests and destabilizing river ecosystems. This project combats these climate-driven crises by restoring forests, reducing flood and erosion risks, and revitalizing aquatic habitats. Partnering with local First Nations, it integrates Indigenous knowledge to rebuild biodiversity, sequester carbon, and safeguard cultural traditions. Restored forests will also help extend the spring snowpack, enhancing long-term water resilience.
